Artwork by Albert Webb Drawings, Paintings, and Prints Bio

My work has evolved over the years. In the early days I focused on comic book style character drawings for Role Playing Illustrations that eventually became more realistic as I strayed away from comics and began looking at real people. It was when I began my studies at Eastern Kentucky University that I started to stray away from comic style imagery, taking a variety of art classes I focused primarily on painting and printmaking. I toyed with the idea of getting an MAT in teaching after receiving a BFA in painting, but my heart yearned to be back in the studio so I left the M.A.T. program at E.K.U. and started attending the University of Louisville, where I completed a master's degree in studio art. I am still focusing primarily on printmaking and painting as well as mixed media techniques that often combines both print and paint sensibilities to explore my fascination with historic battles, literature, mythology, and relationships between written narratives and visual ones.
